Also known as meadow cumin, with a peculiar slightly spicy flavor and penetrating aroma, reminiscent of anise, it is highly appreciated for the manufacture of Italian sauces, seasoning of cheeses such as Danish tilsit and havarti, or German milbekäse, as well as numerous recetace with vegetables and fatty meats, such as sauerkraut, sauerkraut, or sour cabbage.
